Essential Functions

- Check Medical Administration Records daily for accuracy and administration of medications as ordered by physician
- Assist with scheduling doctor appointments
- Provide communication to physicians and document orders received
- Assist with running routine and non-routine appointments
- Enter and scan appointments and labs into Therap medical record system
- Complete resident evaluation daily to ensure continuity of care
- Assist with checking in cycling monthly medications
- Check PRN and non-cycle medication regularly
- Complete Community Event Reports
- Administer medications as necessary
- Complete monthly physical assessments;
- Complete and update immunizations when due
- Review medium and high T-Log documentation and provide intervention where appropriate
- Complete S-Comms to direct support staff related to medical care
- Submit input into monthly meetings
- Assist with completing domestic duties when an individual's refuses, is unable or does not complete the duties in a satisfactory manner which include but is not limited to vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen areas, main living areas and laundry, etc.
- Conduct Person Centered Training and assist as outlined in plans to include but not limited to hygiene care, monitoring clothing care and use, meal planning, cooking, budgeting and shopping
- Assist with overseeing the staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing or each shift

Supervisory Responsibility
Supervises direct care staff in the absence of the House Manager. Oversees the staff disciplinary process in regards to any medical related issues with the approval and oversight of the Residential Specialist.
Work Environment
This job operates in a group home setting with exposure to high levels of noise, human elements such as (blood, urine, etc.); frequent interruptions and fast paced working conditions. In this role standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines are routinely used.
Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, climb or bend. The employee must constantly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Also requires stepping up into commercial passenger vans as needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with core hours of work varied depending on home location.
Travel
Driving throughout the metropolitan area daily or as needed using your personal vehicle or agency vehicle
Required Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience working in a healthcare related field or physician's office setting.
